The E-911/Communications Director oversees the operation of the Center which typically answers in excess of 600 calls per day.  In 2006, 13,130 911 calls  were received and an additional 23,844 calls were actual calls for police or fire services.

The Communications Center operates on an annual E-911budget of approximately $580,762.00 through E-911 user fees, with an additional $100,000 per year coming from the Sheriff’s budget.
The new E-911 system was installed in 2003 at a cost $125,000 and became Wireless Phase II compliant in 2005.
