The Communications Center is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by 10 full-time and part-time dispatchers. The two (2) dispatchers on-duty each shift have the responsibility to answer all incoming emergency and non-emergency business telephone calls that are directed to the Sheriff’s Department. In addition, radio communications are handled for the Sheriff’s Department, five (5) other area police agencies, seven (7) fire departments, Probation Department, including the Welfare Office and County Highway Department after hours.
