If severe weather exists, the Noble County Board of Commissioners will determine if a Weather Emergency or local Disaster Emergency should be declared for the unincorporated areas of Noble County. This determination is made when inclement weather exists and it is in the best interest of the citizens of Noble County, and to the traveling public, to protect against injury to persons, or damage to property. There are three (3) levels for a Weather/Disaster Emergency.
Level 1: A “Level 1” Weather Emergency is one in which the Board of Commissioners requests everyone’s cooperation by remaining off the roadways unless necessary. Level 2: A “Level 2” Weather Emergency is defined as follows: Travel on county roads is restricted to those persons traveling to or from their place of employment, or to and from a medically necessary event; violators may have their motorized vehicle towed at their expense; and County Government Offices are closed to the public. Level 3: A “Level 3” Weather Emergency is one in which all travel is prohibited except authorized vehicles. County Government offices are closed. Violators may be ticketed and and fined $100.00. and/or have their motorized vehicles towed as set forth in Level 2. |
