What You Can Bring To An Inmate

When an inmate books into the Noble County Jail, all of their personal property is placed in a locked property storage area. Inmates may keep appropriate under garment items that they are wearing or bring with them when they are booked in. Appropriate under garment items include plain white under pants, plain white socks and plain white bras. (Colored items or under-wire bras are not allowed.)

Initial hygiene items will be provided by the jail when the inmate is booked in. Additional hygiene items can be purchased from commissary or will be provided to indigent inmates.

 

Medications, prescribed for the inmate, may be brought to the jail for the inmate. Paperback books may be mailed to the inmate directly from the book store or publisher. No other items will be accepted for the inmate.
